Lead Nurse

Working pattern: Rotational shifts including days, nights and weekends

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Les Amis, an Investors in People Gold accredited organisation, as a Lead Nurse within our Maison des Amis nursing unit. Successful candidate will provide strong clinical leadership and be accountable for the effective management of nursing staff, clinical teams, and support workers. Working in partnership with the Registered Manager, the post holder will coordinate multidisciplinary services to ensure the delivery of safe, effective, and person-centred care. Role includes responsibility for maintaining high clinical standards, workforce management, and oversight of resources, while supporting the development and implementation of evidence-based practice. Lead Nurse will work closely with the Government of Jersey Learning Disability Nursing Team, offering professional guidance and contributing to complex clinic.

Experience and skills required:

  • Registered Nurse with current NMC registration
  • Relevant post-qualifying experience is essential
  • Relevant post-qualifying specialist qualification
  • Management or Leadership qualification (or demonstrable leadership experience)
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Genuine interest in working with individuals with a learning disability
  • Ability to be flexible, adaptable and reliable
  • Commitment to undertaking statutory and mandatory training
  • Computer literacy at intermediate level
  • Satisfactory enhanced DBS check
  • Full valid driving license (manual transmission required)

Preferred:

  • Experience supporting with people with learning disabilities
  • Experience supporting with people with dementia
