Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is defined by the European Commission as “the responsibility of enterprises for their impacts on society”. This can take many forms, but one of the most common is for businesses to partner with charities and other organisations to improve the quality of life of people in the local community.
Partnership working can include different elements, such as direct financial support or practical help and assistance with projects and events.
Through partnership working with Les Amis, staff will have the opportunity to not only develop skills and experience, but they will gain a better understanding of working alongside adults with a learning disability. This in turn will help them become more effective and confident in the workplace.
CSR has benefits for everyone - it benefits communities, it benefits businesses, and it benefits the volunteers.

Les Amis offers 'Lunch and Learn' sessions, which offer valuable insights into the challenges and triumphs faced by Islanders with learning disabilities.
Many people who have no experience with learning disabilities may be unaware of the unique challenges faced by individuals in the community.
We will provide a comprehensive overview of our charity's mission, who we serve, and why, along with outlining the specific challenges and initiatives within our community. Through these insights, we offer a range of learning opportunities.
