Les Amis is Simon and Paul

Get to know our Les Amis Legends – this father and son duo is supported by and supports Les Amis.

Les Amis is Simon and Paul

When Simon was born in 1977, he inspired his dad, Paul Routier MBE to campaign for people with learning disabilities. Simon has been supported by Les Amis for 20 years, and Paul has volunteered with Les Amis for almost for 40 years.

This year Simon is proudly marking his 25th work anniversary at Waitrose & Partners – during which time, he’s never been late or taken a sick day.

To celebrate World Down’s Syndrome Awareness Day, Simon and Paul are sharing their stories to create a richer and wider understanding of people with learning disabilities.

Together, Simon and Paul are helping Les Amis rewrite the story of disability in Jersey.

How can you help Les Amis on its mission to support and empower people, like Simon, to reach their full potential?

  • Fundraise for Les Amis

  • Workplace support via corporate partnerships

  • Donate today or set up a recurring donation

  • Leave a legacy in your will
