Les Amis’ new five-bedroom nursing and complex needs facility in Trinity is on track to open in September, marking a major milestone in the charity’s efforts to expand specialist care for Islanders with learning disabilities.
Maison des Amis, also known as Project Trinity, was visited last week by the Lieutenant Governor, Vice Admiral Sir Jerry Kyd, who was invited to see the progress made so far.
Once open, the facility will provide higher nursing care for Islanders with additional needs due to age or dementia. It will also be the first facility of its kind in the Channel Islands, helping Les Amis provide specialist and end-of-life care with dignity, continuity and the right level of medical support.
