La Pouquelaye Community Garden Opens

Jul 01, 2026

Les Amis was delighted to attend the recent unveiling of the La Pouquelaye Community Garden, a community green space created and organised by the St Helier Community Fund.

The project has transformed a neglected piece of land into a vibrant and peaceful garden where members of the community can come together, connect, and enjoy nature. The garden features colourful raised planters, accessible pathways, and a welcoming environment for everyone to enjoy.

For Les Amis, the garden is especially meaningful as it includes a dedicated raised planter for our residents. This space allows them to plant and maintain whatever they choose, giving them the opportunity to grow and care for flowers, vegetables, and herbs while enjoying the many benefits of spending time outdoors.

We would like to extend a huge thank you to the St Helier Community Fund and everyone involved in creating this wonderful space. We look forward to seeing our residents make the most of their planter, which they have already been busy getting started with, and becoming part of this growing community for years to come.
