New charity initiative … Lemon Aid

Aug 12, 2016

With fair weather forecast for the next few days, Les Amis are encouraging Islanders to get into the spirit of summer with a fresh Lemonade Sale in St Helier on Saturday (13th)

The lemonade will be on sale from 11.30 am until 4 pm in King Street, by BhS. Staff and residents from Les Amis will be there to supply the drink and summer cheer.

With the Island still in a holiday mood after this week’s Battle of Flowers, the charity will be selling homemade lemonade – either pure or with a raspberry coulis – in the heart of town. It will cost just £1 per cup and all money raised will go to supporting the charity and its essential work supporting Islanders with learning disabilities.

Lauren Carré, PR/Marketing and Fundraising Assistant at Les Amis, said: “We just wanted to celebrate summer and what better way than with a refreshing glass of lemonade, which has been made by one of our support workers, who is a qualified chef. I would also like to say a massive ‘thank you’ to the Jersey Field Squadron and the Parish of St Helier for their support.”
