The first winner of Big Brother and last year’s Mr Battle, Craig Phillips, is competing in this weekend’s Jersey Triathlon.
The 44-year- old will tackle the Sprint-length 750m swim, 40 km cycle and 5 km run to raise money for Les Amis. Craig is Patron of the charity, which supports Islanders with learning disabilities and / or associated conditions.
Craig said: “I have completed a few triathlons in the UK so when I heard about the Jersey Triathlon, it was quickly added it to my ‘Must Do’ list. Over the last year and a half, since I became Patron of Les Amis, I have come to love Jersey and its people. It is such a beautiful Island and I’m looking forward to discovering more of it this weekend, even though I’ll probably be in quite a bit of pain!”
Craig will run as a ‘Les Amis Legend’ – a new campaign to encourage Islanders to
take up a challenge in support of the charity.
