What information is involved:
When you choose to donate via PayPal, the following information may be processed:
Name
Email address
Donation Amount
Transaction and payment reference details
Les Amis does not receive your full payment card details.
PayPal's role:
PayPal acts as a payment processor on our behalf. When you proceed to PayPal, your information is processed in accordance with PayPal's own privacy notice and security controls.
Lawful basis for processing:
We process donation information on the following lawful bases:
Contract - to process your donation
Legal obligation - for accounting, audit, and anti-fraud requirements
Legitimate interests - to manage and record charitable donations
International transfers
PayPal may process personal data outside Jersey, the UK or the EEA. Where this occurs, appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or adequacy decisions are applied by PayPal.
How long we keep your information
Donation records are retained in accordance with our financial retention requirements (currently 6 years) and are then securely deleted or anonymised.
