Terms and Conditions

By purchasing a ticket for the Les Amis VW Camper Van Raffle, the ticket purchaser agrees to be bound by these terms and conditions.

  1. Les Amis Inc (LAI) is promoting “Les Amis VW Camper Van Raffle” (VW Raffle). LAI is a registered charity in Jersey. Jersey Charity Commission number 231.

  2. Les Amis VW Camper Van Raffle is regulated by the Jersey Gambling Commission (JGC) Permit #CP-2165-23 and is required to provide JGC with details of all prize winners.

  3. There will be three prizes available:
    - First prize – Brand new VW Camper Van, which is not eligible for upgrade, change or exchange for a cash equivalent.
    - Second Prize - £1,000 cash.
    - Third Prize - £500 cash.

  4. All those affiliated with LAI are permitted to purchase tickets except the Promoter, Trustees, Directors and Senior Managers of Les Amis Inc and Les Amis Ltd.

  5. Only 5,000 Tickets will be available for the VW Raffle.

  6. Tickets are only eligible for purchase by adults aged 18 years old or over.

  7. Tickets cannot be purchased on behalf of a third party.

  8. All tickets for the VW Raffle are non-transferable and non-refundable.

  9. Ticket sales will close at 23:59 on Wednesday 23 November 2023, or upon being sold out.

  10. Only tickets for which full payment has been received by close of sales will be entered into the raffle and eligible to win one of the three prizes.

  11. No unsold tickets will be entered into the draw.

  12. Only one name can be entered as the ticket purchaser. The prize will be awarded to that person in accordance with these terms and conditions.

  13. The ticket purchaser is responsible for providing LAI with accurate and up to date contact details of ticket holder, i.e., full name, address, telephone number and email, if available. The ticket purchaser shall inform LAI of any changes to these details as soon as they arise. This information will be stored in line with GDPR.

  14. LAI will be in no way liable for the failure or inability to contact a ticket holder due to any errors, omissions or inaccuracies in the information provided by the ticket purchaser.

  15. Age verification for online tickets will be managed through Yoti Secure Digital Identification System.
    Age verification for hard copy ticket sales will be managed at point of sale, with photographic ID being requested if there is doubt regarding the age of purchaser.
    Any ticket purchaser found to be under 18 years of age will be notified and reported to the Jersey Gambling Commission (JGC). The ticket will be refunded and revert to LAI for resale.

  16. 2,000 tickets will be available for online purchase via Lesamis.org.je/raffle. 3,000 hard copy tickets will be available for in-person purchase from locations listed on Lesamis.org.je/raffle.

  17. Online tickets are only eligible for purchase by persons who are a Jersey resident, with a valid Jersey address.

  18. There is a limit of four tickets purchased per online transaction.

  19. Online ticket purchasers will be issued a randomly allocated ticket number(s) between 0001 and 2,000 on an electronic ticket(s) via email.

  20. Online ticket sales are deemed final, as evidenced by the electronic confirmation of purchase.

  21. Hard copy tickets are eligible for purchase by persons in Jersey at the time of purchase with the full understanding that should they win, they will be required to claim the prize in person.

  22. Hard copy ticket purchasers will be issued a printed ticket, numbered between 2,001 and 5,000.

  23. Hard copy ticket sales are deemed final as evidenced by the handover of the ticket.

  24. The VW Raffle draw will take place on Thursday 30 November 2023 at a venue to be confirmed at 18:00 subject to the terms of Clause 25.

  25. LAI reserves the right to change the venue of the draw but not the date or time. LAI shall endeavour to notify all ticket purchasers of any change to the venue through Lesamis.org.je, social media, local media and the email provided at time of purchase.

  26. The VW Raffle draw will be made by randomly drawing a token from a secure tombola. Prizes will be drawn in order from highest value to lowest value.

  27. All attendees of the draw event will witness the VW Raffle draw.

  28. The VW Raffle draw will be broadcast live on social media.

  29. LAI will publish the sole definitive results of the draw on Lesamis.org.je and social media.

  30. It is the sole responsibility of the first prize winner to insure the vehicle from the day of hand over. LAI takes no responsibility for the vehicle once it is in possession of the winner.

  31. All prizes must be claimed by 30 May 2024. Non-claimed prizes will be forfeit and revert to LAI.

  32. Any complaints relating to The VW Raffle should be made in writing to Head of Charitable Income and Partnerships, Les Amis, La Grande Route de St Martin, St Saviour, Jersey, JE2 7GS.

  33. Any decision made in accordance with these terms and conditions shall be final and binding.

  34. LAI recognises that it has a social responsibility concerning problem gambling.

Age Verification

You must be aged 18 or over to purchase a VW Camper Van Raffle ticket.

To purchase a ticket online, you will need to use YOTI to confirm your age.

YOTI is a form of digital ID that enables us to verify your identity. The Government of Jersey have adopted this system to make it easier and more secure to access government services online (e.g., online tax returns) and in person. When you go to purchase your ticket, you will be asked to sign in with YOTI. If you have the app already on your phone, simply scan the QR code. If you do not yet have an account, you can set one up on your smart phone or tablet.

Note: During setup, YOTI only accepts a passport as proof of identification in Jersey, driving licenses are not classed as an accepted form of identification.
