Ogier enables garden renovation of two Les Amis homes

Corporate Partner, Ogier, has enabled the renovation of two Les Amis property gardens through a generous donation of £3,965 and hands-on help from over a dozen Ogier volunteers.

Together with Les Amis' Maintenance Team, they made the two gardens more usable and enjoyable - installing paving and plant beds; and restoring and painting garden furniture in record time.

Melissa Donoghue, Ogier Global Real Estate Administrator and organiser of the team's Corporate Social Responsibility shared on behalf of her team: "Just wanted to say a big thank you from myself and the team for last week, I've received a lot of positive feedback! We were very impressed with the preparation and organisation of Les Amis' maintenance team which made a significant impact on our experience. There wasn't a moment where someone was left without a job and the team felt like they were being used in a meaningful way and had a perceivable effect on the renovation project."

Accessing public outdoor spaces can have additional challenges for Islanders with learning disabilities and associated conditions. With the support of Ogier, Les Amis residents can now experience the benefits of the great outdoors at their doorstep!

Not only was it fulfilling, but a rather humbling experience too... we really witnessed first-hand how much hard and commendable work goes into their days.
