The Les Amis Club holds its first ever Christmas Fayre at Bethlehem Church Hall on Saturday 18th November, 10 am – 1 pm.
Cushions, draft excluders, miniature beehives, piggy banks, photo frames and many more arts and crafts will be on sale – all made by Les Amis residents who attend the Les Amis Club.
Over 16 residents regularly attend the Les Amis Club that opened earlier this year. The day service was created to ensure that Les Amis residents have a rewarding, fun filled day everyday.
Amanda Cotillard, Les Amis Club Manager, said: “Creating Christmas items to sell for the Fayre has given our residents a sense of purpose during their arts and crafts sessions. It has been heartening to see the residents’ dedication and creativity to their projects. I hope islanders will support the residents and come down to see and buy their creations.”
Stallholders selling Christmas cards and decorations, household goods, children’s toys and handmade crafts will also be in attendance. Christmas Wreaths can also be pre-ordered on the day ready for collection after the 16th December.
Lauren Carré, Les Amis PR, Marketing and Fundraising Manager, said: “The confidence levels of our residents has greatly improved since attending the Les Amis Club and the residents are very excited to see their creations on sale at the Christmas Fayre. Thank you to ZEDRA our corporate sponsor for funding the Les Amis Club and providing this opportunity for our residents.”
Bethlehem Church will also be providing teas, coffees and cakes on the day. Funds from the Fayre will go back into the Les Amis Club so that it can continue to provide a variety of activities for Les Amis residents.
