Les Amis Newsletter - February 2017

Feb 28, 2017

February is finally over and we are super excited to welcome some warmer weather. Thank you to everyone who has supported us this month. Let’s have a look at what has passed and the fun that is yet to come!

Valentine’s Hot Chocolate and Flapjack Sale

The Les Amis Hot Chocolate sale returned to King Street this Valentine’s day. Huge thanks to Jersey Dairy for donating the Chocolate Milk, ZEDRA for making deluxe flapjacks and shaking buckets with us on the day and for AFM for joining us in selling at the gazebo. But, most of all thank you to everyone who donated. We raised a fantastic £1,150.60! Without these kind donations, Les Amis would cease to exist.

Runathon

Ola, a friend of one of our amazing Les Amis support workers, is running the London Marathon to raise money and awareness for Les Amis. To raise even more money for the charity Ola has decided to hold a runathon in Brook Street on Saturday 11th March. She will be running the distance of the London Marathon with the Les Amis staff and residents to support her under our iconic Les Amis gazebo. ZEDRA runners will also be joining us to keep the running going when Ola needs a well deserved rest. If you’re in town make sure to stop by and say hello.

Swimarathon

The Swimarathon is one of our favourite annual events. This year we have filled five lanes with Les Amis staff, supporters and residents and ZEDRA will be joining us in the sixth lane. Six lanes of unparalleled swimming fun – what more could you want? Make sure to check out our Facebook page on the 12th of March at 3pm when we will be going live down at the Swimarathon.
