Les Amis Christmas Carol Service raises £500

Dec 12, 2017

Les Amis choir raise £500 for the charity at their Christmas Carol Service on Saturday 2nd December at 3pm.

‘When Santa Got Stuck Up the Chimney’, the choir’s favourite song put a smile on the congregation’s faces and the resident’s enthusiasm was contagious throughout the service.

Jason Loveless, Head of Respite and Domiciliary Services and Choir Coordinator, said: “The choir has been rehearsing since October for the carol service so I am very glad that all their hard work has paid off. Singing is incredibly beneficial for the mind and soul and I truly believe that singing brings great joy to our residents and improves their day-to-day lives.”

Performing for the charity’s patron, Lady Dalton, the Les Amis choir were proud to share their hard work with the charity’s esteemed guest.

Lauren Carré, Les Amis PR, Marketing and Fundraising Manager, said: “It was wonderful to see the choir perform again. I would like to say thank you to Pitcher & Le Quesne, Funeral Directors for continuing to sponsor this magical event and giving our residents an opportunity to perform.”

The money raised from the event will go towards the £500,000 fundraising target to develop a new nursing and complex needs unit.
