IT Support Administrator

Les Amis is looking for an IT whizz to help them with day to day IT support.

This role is permanent and 30hrs per week

Working in a friendly and welcoming environment, reporting to line management and providing IT assistance to an organisation that empowers people with learning disabilities.

The successful candidate will be an organised and analytical problem solver who ideally has 2 years’ experience in a previous IT support role.

Day to day tasks to include:

  • Assist with all Les Amis computer based systems, telephones, software and identify and rectify any faults.
  • Install and replace work stations and printers as required.
  • Service and maintain printers and IT peripherals.
  • Understand the cabling systems and function of servers at Les Amis and help maintain this equipment
  • Liaise with IT support companies, suppliers and other agencies as needed.
  • Software evaluation, upgrades and installation as directed.
  • Ensure that all Les Amis computers have adequate virus protection and back up facilities.
  • Become proficient in the retrieval of backup files, disaster protection and recovery.
  • Be aware of and compliant with Data Protection issues.

We are looking for someone with:

  • A sound academic background with a willingness to study towards a relevant IT qualification.
  • A minimum of 2 years previous experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent understanding of PCs as well as mobile devices.
  • Proven Experience in Microsoft Office and Windows-based operating systems.
  • Excellent organisation skills.
  • Effective oral and written communication, interpersonal, analytical, problem-solving and facilitation skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to work independently and in a team and collaborate with others.
  • 5 years of residency required
