LGL Group have pledged their support to Les Amis as it becomes the latest corporate firm to partner with the local charity.
The Jersey office of the global corporate, fund and family office solutions business have selected Les Amis as their long term chosen charity, committing to a programme of voluntary work and internal fundraising initiatives in aid of the charity. The company will be helping Les Amis continue the makeover of a residential home garden area, as well as planning a virtual online afternoon tea to continue raising money for the charity under the current restrictive circumstances.
Jason Loveless, Head of Support Services at Les Amis said: “At the moment we just don’t know what the future will hold for us, so it makes it very difficult to plan any of our usual events. The support of our corporate partners allows us to maintain a high awareness within the community and to encourage others to donate to our cause. We are extremely thankful for the support of the LGL Group at this time and continue to believe that we will become stronger and more resilient when we work together with others.
“Our priority remains protecting our service users and staff, especially now that we are moving into the second wave of the virus. However, we are very eager to get and about in the community once more whenever this becomes possible.”
Les Amis was recently recognised with a ‘Leaders in Wellbeing’ Award for its ongoing work in breaking the stigma on such issues as mental health in its capacity as an employer. It also retained its Silver Lever accreditation from Investors in People this year, making it one of the top 32% of employers around the globe. To help support the island’s largest charity, donations can be made online at the Les Amis website www.lesamis.org.
