You may be a company or organisation that nominates a ‘Charity of the Year’. Partnering with us would be a strong and enduring relationship that would benefit your organisation as well as Les Amis.
Corporate support is essential to Les Amis but the charity wants to build enduring partnerships rather than just rely on short-term fundraising campaigns. A society can be judged on how it treats its most vulnerable and we know that responsible businesses take their social impact very seriously.

This is the second year ZEDRA Jersey have supported Les Amis and they are delighted they can continue to get to know the residents better and help fundraise for the local charity.
Established in 1969, and incorporated from the local government in 2006, Jersey Post now operates a network of 21 post offices across the island. In addition, Jersey Post provides postal delivery services to all Jersey residential households and business, five days a week.
Sitting alongside our post office and delivery networks, is a range of complementary business services that enable Jersey Post to provide a full suite of postal products and services for businesses of any size and sector. These include bulk mailing and associated support services, as well as digital print and data management.
More recently, working with our global partner network of over 190 countries, Jersey Post has developed a comprehensive range of specialist, worldwide distribution routes. As part of our own recent business expansion, we now have established trading locations outside of the Channel Islands including Newark and Chicago in the US, Hong Kong as well as in the UK. This expansion enables us to provide on and off-island logistics management for any size, or type of item, in order to support our clients’ own business development and growth.
Sonia Ferri, Marketing Manager states “We are delighted to be supporting Les Amis as our charity of the year for 2018. We hope to raise lots of money with the various activities we have planned this year.”
de Gruchy is one of the oldest department store retailers in the UK and Channel Islands, celebrating 200 years of trading in Jersey in 2010. As such, it is now seen as part of the ‘fabric’ of St. Helier and enjoys a reputation way beyond the shores of Jersey.
The store occupies a landmark building in a 100% prime pitch in the town’s main shopping area, King Street. Originally developed as a department store, de Gruchy currently trades from 55,000 square feet and is one of the largest retail outlet in the Channel Islands. Due to its purpose-built nature the store has vast open floors that are perfect for today’s retail requirements.
Launched in June 2011, deGruchys.com is a specialist online store, offering a range of luxury, branded products. As an established retail group, we have years of experience so you can shop with confidence at deGruchys.com.
Niamh Cooper, Marketing Executive states “We are delighted that the staff at de Gruchy’s have voted to support Les Amis for their charity of the year for 2018 and we look forward to getting to know the residents of Les Amis and helping with their fundraising efforts.”
Freemasonry is the largest secular, fraternal and charitable organisation in the United Kingdom. It teaches self-knowledge through participation in a progression of ceremonies. Members are expected to be of high moral standing and are encouraged to speak openly about Freemasonry. All forms of Freemasonry take as their basis, the teaching of the relationship one has to his God, his neighbour, and his family, and an understanding of himself. Freemasonry has existed for hundreds of years, and throughout the world there are millions of men who find the fraternity of Freemasonry conducive to a development of their responsibilities to the society in which they live.
It is believed that the origins of Freemasonry can be found in the Master Mason's Lodges formed for working stonemasons, at the sites of cathedrals and other stately buildings in the 15th to 17th centuries. Such Lodges subsequently accepted as members, those who were not operative stonemasons, later called freemasons.
The Freemasons of Jersey have this year chosen Les Amis as their charity of the year. They are delighted to help in any way, including raising funds for the people Les Amis support in order to live as independently as possible within the local community.
Becoming a partner sponsor means that you can see the difference that any financial support you can offer has made. Just £25 can ensure two respite users can access activities in the community, such as Mencap discos, the Battle of Flowers or simply going swimming. With only £800, you could provide sensory equipment for a high dependency room and wet room and £1,400 could provide a new profile bed.
You could also sponsor one of our registered 15 residential units across the Island. Just £18, for instance, will allow one resident to attend day services for a week. For less than £50, you can assist our residents to stay active in the community throughout the week. Finally, £962 a week keeps our 20 residential cars running, which are essential for transporting residents around the Island.
The variety of work at Les Amis means there is always something that needs to be done. We would be happy to carry out CPD-linked disability discrimination training for staff and also provide CSR opportunities – there are always important jobs to do!
Helping people to fulfil their potential is fulfilling in itself, which makes working with our residents deeply rewarding. If you’d like to find out more, just fill in the boxes below and upload your CV. We’ll then be in touch.
